I managed to take the right ferry to Four Island. I went straight to the Pelagic gym, which doubles as an aquarium. It was fascinating. I could have spent hours there, studying and reading the various exhibits.
While there, I caught up with Emporio again and met his boyfriend. I also met Armin, the man in charge of the gym. He's a good guy. We had a long chat about the ocean and he even gave me a Wiglett that I've named Heterocongrinae (Heter for short).
Emporio and I are going to Five Island together. He'll show me around and I'll have a chance to talk to him about Pucci and DIO. It's obvious to me that neither of us know the full story - and I intend to learn how DIO's legacy ended.
December 28
We took the ferry from Four to Five Island and flew to Resort Gorgeous. There aren't many good places to camp out on the other islands so we will be returning here each night. Emporio was very polite in asking me if I would rather go to the Five Isle Meadow or the Water Labyrinth. I wouldn't have minded either but I'm glad we are going to what is surely going to be a fascinating place.
Outside, I decided to catch grass Pokemon to help me study water Pokemon out in the Water Labyrinth. Originally, I was just going to catch Dusty the Whimsicott, as she knows a number of status moves to make capture easier, but out of nowhere a Lurantis appeared. Thanks to Yume's timely intervention, we also caught them, and I have named her Claudia.
Surfing on Pokemon is very... cool. Amazing, even. It's free, open, and it feels natural. The water and the sea breeze reminded me of being on one of the oceanography boats, except it was much more... involved, is all I can describe it. Today was just a test to make sure I can manage the rental Pokemon. Tomorrow, we'll see the labyrinth.

Entered Water Labyrinth. It's not a labyrinthine maze, but a series of sea rocks. I can only imagine the ecosystem such strong waves and large clusters of rocks would cultivate.
Emporio and I spent a long time fishing (Caught a pufferfish/Overqwil and called it Landmine) and talking. DIO's legacy wasn't ended by a Joestar. Someone else broke the cycle. Somehow, that feels... appropriate. Like a proper ending to all of this.
I'm glad Jolyne is happy here, much like I'm happy Irene is at home. Emporio didn't see the other me. I do exist and I'm apparently Irene's father but I suppose it doesn't matter.
December 30 Not much luck with the fishing today. However, I learned Pokemon aren't necessarily restricted by their type or biology. Today, I saw a swarm of Pikachu, which are electric type and land-based rodents, surfing on surf boards. They really seemed to like the ocean.
One came close to me and seemed to challenge me. It didn't want to battle... rather, it wanted to challenge me to a surfing competition. I borrowed a board from another Pikachu (said Pikachu hopped onto another surfboard of yet another Pikachu) and we surfed.
Emporio has promised me to never to speak of what he saw.
Jerry has joined our team (that's the name on the Pikachu's surfboard). We're going to surf some more with his friends before we head off and they migrate.

We spent another day at the water labyrinth. Didn't catch any Pokemon but I had my team out enjoying the water. Joestar, Paddy, SP, Navy, Karpa and Jerry all did some training with me.
Emporio asked me about my New Years plans. New Years isn't as much a party thing as it is a family thing. While I acknowledged I am family, I didn't want to impose on my daughter and her wife on New Years, especially since I saw them last week. I figured I would just call them when we returned to the resort.
Jolyne is full of surprises. She and Carly were there at Resort Gorgeous. Apparently they were going to spend New Years Eve there and wanted me to come along. So here I am, I suppose.
