She often gets other Pokemon to help her get food and defeat stronger opponents, especially when she can't do it on her own. She teamed up with Carcharhinus during an opportune swarm in Lavender Town and tried to jump Jotaro. Unfortunately for her, Jotaro's team of Orquesta and Chomp took care of them. Candela likes Jotaro inherently because they're both quiet strategists, and hopes to be useful in battle. She dreams of her strategies being used by Jotaro to help his Pokemon in battle. Candela also has a fondness for sweets.
