Although Jotaro wasn't strong enough to enter the Second Prehistoric Chamber, he was allowed in thanks to Emporio and Louie accompanying in. Since all the Pokemon there were too strong for Jotaro's Pokemon, he couldn't catch them. However, while resting, Kosugi sat down next to them and Jotaro fed him. After some time together, Kosugi decided to go along with Jotaro. Initially, Kosugi assumed Jotaro's hat was part of his head and was astonished to find out it wasn't.
