Star Platinum is Jotaro's starter Pokemon. He's good-natured and has a lot of energy, and thus thrashes whenever he's outside of water (which takes less energy than swimming). Tends to be the cheery one of the Jotaro/Star duo. Likes to sing. However, he does hold himself to a high standard and is incredibly protective of egg Pokemon.

Jotaro met Vivian while he was resting on Route 29, when the Espurr was playing with his log sled. She often takes the initiative to investigate things she doesn't know, and loves discovering new things. Vivian can be scatterbrained at times, getting excited over things she's already seen, but it's simply because she has a lot of energy. However, Vivian is easily jealous and will often brood whenever she doesn't get her way.

Beru was caught in Cherrygrove City, while Jotaro was trying to rest. He ended up stealing Vivian the Espurr's food, not realising she was 6 levels higher than him. Jotaro stopped Vivian from killing him and Beru was, from then on, eternally grateful. Beru is a greedy Pokemon and often bites first and asks questions later. However, he is also a little insecure and wants to get stronger to prove himself to Jotaro.

Joestar is a Staryu that Jotaro literally stripped and swam after to catch. It is a quiet and reliable Pokemon who tends to do overdo it in fights, not unlike Jotaro. It often is the first to try and stop fights between other Pokemon.

Yume loves to sing along to songs she hears. Generally she is quite cheerful and is often the one watching camp, though she is quick to jump to conclusions. Before joining Jotaro, she was friends/lovers with a Pidgey (Orquesta) in Violet City. When Orquesta saw Yume in the possession of a trainer, the duo argued whether they should both be free birds or if they should both be Jotaro's Pokemon before Yume decided to fight it out.

Orquesta is a loud, aggressive Pidgey who is very protective of his loved ones. While affectionate when calm, he tends to fly into a rage. Before joining Jotaro, he was friends/lovers with a Hoothoot (Yume) on Route 31. When he saw Yume in the possession of a trainer, the duo argued whether they should both be free birds or if they should both be Jotaro's Pokemon. Yume ended up winning the fight and Orquesta begrudgingly acknowledged Jotaro as his trainer.

Kakoyin is a proud predator who nearly wiped Jotaro's team when encountered. Much like the friend he's named after, he is a little eccentric but a loyal ally. He sometimes clashes with Jotaro if he doesn't agree with him, though it's because he wants the best for Jotaro. Was caught as a Spinarak, which Jotaro called Hierophant (name changed upon evolution).

He genuinely wants to be friends with Jotaro though and will often collect things to give to him. Responsible for the shells on Jotaro's books.

Jotaro originally wanted to name the hermit crab after Hermit Purple, after his grandfather's stand. However, he then decided to just name it after his grandfather, and rightly so. Joseph (aka Joe) is a cheeky clown who loves to play practical jokes. He is also impulsive and playful, and likes getting himself into trouble. Jotaro wonders if he guessed Joe's personality correctly or if his grandfather's spirit possessed the poor crab when he named it.

At first, the Falinks thought he was abandoned, only to find that they were making a present for their friend (an anklet! They all have matching anklets!). The Squad are a fun-loving, adventure-loving gang who want to do everything together. After being helped by them, they all value both Jotaro's and SP's positions as leader and second-in-command.

Thankfully, she's easily bribed with sweets and promises of a nap with a fluffy pillow.

Gulliver likes being the center of attention and treats Jotaro's research like he's being worshipped. Jotaro tries not to encourage this behaviour but he will dote on him from time to time.

Soprano was easy to convince, since he's an easy-going, relaxed Popplio. However, he has miraculous breath control and can hold a note for an exceptionally long time.

Although a little shy, Alto went along with Popplio's decision to join Jotaro and his team. Alto often overthinks things and doesn't act on them since she doesn't want to cause conflicts.

Much like many things Jotaro owns, Kei has a star on her back since she's a Magikarp from Three Island. She can't do much besides splash but she has a good attitude, always laughing and joking around. Jotaro's fascinated with her and how durable she is, despite her ability to do little more than splash.

As a Gyarados, she still likes to splash and do nothing. Despite being an intimidating Pokemon, she's still quite happy-go-lucky.

During Jotaro's excursion to study the various beaches of the Sevii Islands, he came across a strange red shovel. Fortunately, he didn't stick his hand through it and immediately sent Chariot the Pawniard to fight it. While bulky and strong, Fortress was defeated. Fortress makes a lot of daring attempts and is happy to try and convince people to become his slaves in broad daylight using his intrinsic Sandygast powers. Fortunately, Jotaro is quick to crush Fortress' bold attempts. Really enjoys Emporio's company.

Heter is happy to go for days at a time without sleep or food if need be, though thankfully Jotaro hasn't had a need for her to do so just yet.

Dusty is Jotaro's first real 'informed' decision for a capture. Rather than catch whatever came his way, he ended up catching Dusty so she can paralyze or put to sleep water Pokemon in the Water Labyrinth. Dusty loves playing pranks and often puts her cotton in regions she's not supposed to. However, if she gets caught, Dusty gets very embarrassed and will hide her face in her cotton.

When Jotaro caught Dusty, he accidentally stepped on Claudia's very organised flowers in front of Resort Gorgeous. As a result, she tried to attack him. However, Claudia's attempt was thwarted when Yume saw her with her keen eyes and struck her with a wing attack. Jotaro caught her because he assumed she wanted to come along. While not intending on following this large man, Claudia has taken a liking to Jotaro and often can be found organising his things. Jotaro can't stop her from doing it so he just tells her 'Well done' which makes Claudia very happy.

Landmine is a lonely yet prideful Pokemon that only wanted to go with a trainer who could defeat him. Landmine is less lonely now but prefers heading the pack, doing things on his own and showing off his strength to Jotaro.

After seeing his skills, Jerry left his swarm to join Jotaro. Jerry tends not to say things out loud, rather, he gestures and prefers to act to get his point across (something Jotaro can relate to). It's scary how similar Jerry and Jotaro are to one another...
