Gulliver was caught on Two Island because Jotaro wanted a subject for ocean bird research. Thankfully, Gulliver is more than happy to oblige. Gulliver likes being the center of attention and treats Jotaro's research like he's being worshipped. Jotaro tries not to encourage this behaviour but he will dote on him from time to time.
